A strategic alignment framework for the entrepreneurial university

The Open Innovation in Science literature suggests university knowledge creation should be followed by dissemination to industry and the public. Although several entrepreneurial models have been proposed explaining role of production, extant studies generally assume that elements required involved outbound innovation are automatically aligned. This conceptual piece introduces corporate-inspired strategic alignment framework for universities.In addition, this paper examines congruence among individual, organisational system levels functional between capitals. It demonstrates how they can fulfil increasingly complex must play science, industry, society.
